We provide exterior inspections to make sure roofing is installed properly along with windows, doors, decks and other elements. We also provide interior inspections, including lower level inspection of the building’s structure, heating system, plumbing and electrical systems.
We provide extensive inspections for both commercial locations and residential properties around the North Shore. Making sure all buildings are up to standard with the Home Inspectors Code of Massachusetts Regulations is our priority for the safety of our clients and their families.
Radon is an odorless, colorless, and tasteless radioactive gas that is known for causing lung cancer. With our new ‘Radstar 300’ electrical monitor system, we can accurately test for this hazardous gas, within 48 hours, and provide clients with the results at the time of the machine pickup.
Strout Inspections inspectors perform a home inspection that strives to exceed the expectations set forth by the Home Inspectors Code of Massachusetts Regulations, our ‘CMR 266’. We follow the letter of the law when it comes to conducting an inspection along with the standards of practice in out CMR. Given our background in construction, we are able to give insight to the cause of most of the problems that we find on our home inspections and are able to help manage our clients’ expectations as to the repairs needed. This helps our clients so they can consult the specific professionals to further investigate the problems that we find, and provide cost estimates for the repairs or replacement of the systems/materials during the purchase process, as we are not allowed to give estimates for the repairs or replacement of specific items in out report.
